Our Conservatory Range And Why Now Is A Great Time To Buy One
The weather slowly appears to be warming up which is a nice reminder to us all that summer is coming. If it’s anything like last summer, we’re in for an absolute scorcher and a conservatory would be a fantastic place to enjoy some of it.
No, we haven’t gone mad! You might be thinking that a conservatory would feel like an oven in the middle of a heatwave. That may be true of an old conservatory with its original glass or polycarbonate roof, but our conservatory range only consists of thermally efficient designs with insulated roofing systems that promise you a perfectly cool atmosphere inside even when it’s sweltering outside.
All varieties of conservatory are covered, built from both UPVC and aluminium. This includes the revelation that is the Loggia, an Anglo-Italian offering that will make you re-evaluate how a modern conservatory should look.
Nothing quite to your taste? You always have the option of going bespoke and creating your own personalised extension.
If we’ve made you want one, we suggest you buy it now, and our reasoning for that is simple…
The design needs organising
It’s not as simple as just saying e.g. “I want a Lean-To conservatory” and that’s that. There are all sorts of considerations that need to be made.
Do you want it crafted from UPVC or aluminium? Would you like patio, French or bi-folding doors incorporated? What coloured finish most captivates you?
We will also have to send out one of our surveyors to your home so that they can measure up in your back garden prior to the final installation.
Planning permission
An application for planning permission may have to be submitted to your local planning department. Not that we would let you any way, but never be tempted to proceed with an installation without checking whether planning permission is needed first.
It can take around 8-13 weeks to discover if a planning application has been successful or not. If refused, you can adjust the design in accordance with their recommendations and then submit a further application, but it will again take time for you to find out if you have permission to go ahead.
Time is of the essence if you dream of taking in this summer inside your own conservatory. Our order books are filling up quickly, so get a FREE quote from ERG Scotland today and place an order as soon as you can afterwards.
